Stylish, renovated holiday house from the year 1780 with a big garden and a private pool in the Dordogne

The detached holiday house "gîte Lamarmette" is on a 10-hectare site in very quiet, rural surroundings, 12km from Bergerac. It stands alone without any immediate neighbours, at the end of a cul-de-sac and away from the road.

The house "gîte Lamarmette" of around 150m² with a modern and tasteful country house style can accommodate 4 people on two floors. It dates back to the year 1780 and was carefully renovated in 2022, preserving the stone walls and wooden beams on the ceilings and integrating them cleverly into the new design. The ground floor has a dining space with an open kitchen, a living room with 2 sofa and satellite internet TV, a big veranda of 25m² looking out over the garden, a WC and a bedroom with a double bed (180 x 190cm). The kitchen is fully-equipped with a stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine, as well as a little bar with three stools. In front of it there is the dining table and opposite there is the fireplace (firewood provided). The upper floor has the remaining two bedrooms, one with two single beds (90 x 190cm), the other with a single bed (90 x 190cm). On this floor there is also a bathroom with a bath and WC. The bedrooms, the bathroom and the living room have electric radiators. Wireless Internet access is available .

The glazed veranda can be used for enjoying meals. It has garden furniture and an additional sofa for relaxing, with a view of the lovely garden. There is also a covered, private pool measuring 5 x 11 metres. The cover can be opened.

The house "gîte Lamarmette" is on a 10-hectare site with meadows and forested areas. To the rear of the house there is a smaller, enclosed area of garden, where small children or pets can play. There is a lean-to with a table tennis table and a brick-built grill. You can park your car on site. This house has its own pool and its own closed garden.

A baby and toddler package with a cot and highchair can be provided on request. The house is at the heart of the Dordogne, just 12km from the town of Bergerac and not far from many tourist attractions in the region. There are various everyday shops in Lalinde about 5km away. The nearest restaurant is about 1km away. There are riding stables and a golf course about 5km away, for golf and horse enthusiasts. You can walk around a lake about 500 metres away, which has a grassy beach. The Dordogne River is about 1km away. It is a perfect place to relax in the beautiful Dordogne region.

    “Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine au paradis. La charmante ancienne ferme a été rénovée et meublée avec amour. Le jardin avec ses nombreux buissons fleuris, ses herbes aromatiques et sa grande pelouse est une oasis unique en pleine nature. Et même notre chien était le bienvenu ici. Le gîte est situé dans un endroit paisible, mais de nombreux villages avec des marchés traditionnels et des restaurants excellents ainsi que des vignobles, des châteaux et d'autres sites touristiques sont rapidement accessibles. Un lieu idéal pour des randonneurs et des amis de la nature et de la culture comme nous. Un grand merci à l'hôte très sympathique pour sa confiance. Un jour nous reviendrons.”

Das Haus ist "maison de charactère", geschmackvoll eingerichtet, jeder Bereich mit allem bestens und hochwertig ausgestattet. Besonders angenehm sind der Wintergarten und der große Pool, und dass durch eine uneinsehbare Lage die private Sphäre nicht gestört wird.     “Positiv: Komplett und liebevoll ausgestattetes Haus in einer waldreichen Umgebung, ideal um die " Seele baumeln " zu lassen.Absolut ruhig mit einer vegetationsreichen , leicht hügeligen Landschaft. Der Vermieter wohnt in der Umgebung und kümmert sich bei Bedarf sofort um alles. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, danke.”
