Secluded holiday home at Plitvice Lakes

A Romantic wooden house in the midst of the UNESCO heritage-protected Plitvice Lakes National Park, for an idyllic rural holiday, with a mountain view from the generous, private terrace, and with a traditional stone grill and children’s playground in the enclosed garden

This holiday house made of wood welcomes you in a secluded and quiet location, in the midst of the Plitvice Lakes National Park region in Croatia, one of the first natural monuments on the UNESCO world heritage list. It provides ideal holiday accommodation for all those who would like to spend a relaxing holiday by lushly forested lakes, with long walks, cycle tours, riding and an abundance of nature.

The ground-level wooden house with central heating was built just recently in 2011 and completely renovated in 2016. It is equipped accordingly with all modern amenities for a comfortable stay. An alarm system ensures pleasant security in the secluded location. The living space totalling 80m² comprises a comfortable living and dining room with an integrated, open kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bathroom with modern fittings. In the interior, the solid wood walls exude a cosy country house atmosphere. The living room provides a big corner sofa and a wooden coffee table, a modern digital flatscreen TV with satellite channels and a USB port, and a dining table with four chairs. The open fireplace built into the wall provides pleasant warmth on cooler evenings. An elegant breakfast bar separates the dining space from the fully-equipped kitchen, which is equipped with a ceramic hob with a stainless steel extractor fan, an oven, microwave, an extra-large fridge with a freezer compartment, a toaster, kettle and coffee machine. One of the two bedrooms has a double bed measuring 180 x 200cm, while the second has two single beds measuring 90 x 200cm, which can also be joined together as a double bed if required. Both bedrooms also have bedside tables and reading lamps, and wardrobes with plenty of storage space for clothing and luggage. The sofa in the living room can be converted into an additional bed measuring 120 x 185cm. The bathroom has a spacious shower cubicle with massage jets, a washbasin with a big wall mirror, a hairdryer, a toilet and a washing machine. A cot and a supplementary bed are also available (on request). Firewood, bed linen and hand towels are provided and you can use the reliable wireless Internet connection in the house free of charge.

The living room opens directly onto the 27m² private and roofed terrace, where you can enjoy the extensive panoramic view over the pine forests and the undulating landscape. The traditional stone grill and another roofed dining space with a wooden table and benches a little further back in the garden invite you to spend long evenings under a starry sky. Children will enjoy the playground with a slide. A car is recommended during your stay and there are secure parking spaces right in front of the house.

The house is about 800 metres from the nearest restaurant, while the nearest shops and a petrol station are about 1km away. 3km to the nearest supermarket, a pharmacy, a medical centre and a post office. You can explore the varied nature, lakes and caves on one of many hiking and cycling paths, right near the holiday house.
